Short information about the history of the department
The department was established in 1939 on the basis of physical -mathematical faculty. In 1989 it was merged with the Department of Physics in 1998 reorganized into the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, which in 2001 was renamed the Department of Mathematics.
In different years the department worked highly qualified teachers of mathematics Ph.D., Assoc. Babiy V., Ph.D., Assoc. Kyzhil O., Borisenko G., Gontarenko M., Lemeshko I., Imas G., Hazin I., Zatheyev V., Berestizhevskyy N., Kokhanivsky O., Rotayenko P., Grigorenko V., Neshchadim A., Ph.D., Assoc. Zyb A., Ph.D., Assoc. Berezovsky V., Shyrobokov N., Martynyuk N., Ph.D., Assoc. Zatula N. and many others. In different years the department was headed by long- time Ph.D., Assoc. Babiy V. and HazinI., Babiy V. was also dean of the faculty of physics and mathematics .
At the time, the department has worked and lectured on the calculus of variations Bogolyubov M., academician of world renown.
